Located in the heart of El Paso, next to the main UTEP campus, this shop is popular with students and locals alike. There’s too much to cover on the menu, but the ice cream and treats are top-notch, and you’ll get a ton of sweet snacks to keep your sweet tooth happy even if you’re not in the mood for ice cream. They do offer some fruit snacks if you’re keeping track of your calorie counts, but we can’t resist the ice cream.

A little further west near Sunland Park is Wonderscoops. The scoops come double here, ensuring you get enough to fill you up. You get to pick from a nice selection of cones, from the classic sugar cone (always tasty) to waffle cones and chocolate-dipped cones, with all sorts of combinations in between. If you’re partial to shakes, they have a sweet selection of specialty milkshakes including Coffee, Cookie Monster, and our favorite, Churro.

Boozy Ice Cream Parlor

If you’re looking for a unique ice cream experience in El Paso, then leave the kids at home and try Boozy. Assuming the name does not give it away, at Boozy you can combine your favorite ice cream with some adult beverages. Liquid nitrogen-chilled ice cream mixed with alcohol is on tap (so to speak) with popular flavors like rum, vodka, and coffee liqueur. Be sure to try the “Creamtails,” a frozen twist on mixed drinks like the Cinnamon Toast, which is a combination of Fireball Whiskey, Rumchata Rum, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Whipped Cream, topped with Crunch Cereal.
